ChIPs, the global organization advancing women in tech, law, and policy, will induct Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to its Hall of Fame at its annual Global Summit.
SAN FRANCISCO , CA, UNITED STATES, October 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — ChIPs Network, the global community representing more than 10,000 women in technology, law and policy, is inducting U.S. Senator Kristen Gillibrand to its prestigious Hall of Fame.
Gillibrand (D-NY) will be honored during the ChIPs Global Summit, “The Next Act: IP, Innovation & Influence,” October 21-23, in Los Angeles. In addition, she will join ChIPs Board Chair and former General Counsel of Oracle Dorian Daley for a fireside chat after her award is conferred.
“During her nearly two decades in Congress, Senator Gillibrand has actively supported the effective, forward-thinking, mindful development of emerging technologies and advocated for their responsible use,” said ChIPs Executive Director Joan Toth.
Senator Gillibrand was the lead Democratic senator on the bipartisan GENIUS Act, which requires issuers of stablecoins to maintain standards for transparency, consumer protection, and oversight; has pushed for the ethical use of AI; and has led bipartisan hearings on the potential of wearable technology and AI products to help seniors detect health issues and live independently.
Senator Gillibrand’s stance on intellectual property reflects her commitment to fairness, added Daley. “She has co-sponsored bills aimed at enhancing protections for innovators and creators and has argued that intellectual property rights are essential for driving economic growth.”
Gillibrand joins 16 women previously honored, including Verna Williams, CEO of Equal Justice Works; former CEO of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo; former USPTO Director Kathi Vidal; Senator Mazie K. Hirono; legal journalist Nina Totenberg and the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
