iFIT today announced the debut of “Ashley’s Impossible Year,” a new iFIT Originals documentary series following professional ultrarunner and iFIT Trainer Ashley Paulson’s attempt to complete four races within a 2026 campaign spanning more than 1,000 miles: the Tahoe 200, the Bigfoot 200, the Moab 240 and Tunnel Hill 100.

After completing Tahoe and Bigfoot, Paulson will next take on Moab in October before attempting to defend her women’s 100-mile world record at Tunnel Hill in November. The first episode premiered Sept. 21, with new episodes releasing through December. Each is paired with a companion iFIT training series Paulson used to prepare, allowing members to apply her approach to goals of their own.
“Watching greatness is entertainment,” says Jeremy McCarty, Chief Content and Subscription Officer at iFIT. “Training alongside it is transformation. ‘Ashley’s Impossible Year’ gives our members both: four races, 1,000 miles, and the programming she’s using to prepare. She’s chasing her impossible thing. We built iFIT so our members can chase theirs.”
A Full Year, Not Just a Highlight Reel
The Impossible Year extends beyond the documentary itself, pairing Paulson’s story with training designed to help iFIT members seeking to tackle their own personal fitness goals. Alongside four documentary episodes, each 30 to 50 minutes, members will have access to:
- 20 training runs across four dedicated series (five runs per race) available on NordicTrack, ProForm and Freemotion equipment
- A 10-episode weekly Endurance Run Club featuring Paulson, streaming weekly from Sept. 23 through Nov. 25 and available on demand
- A bonus 15-minute episode highlighting Paulson’s 2026 Boston 100 world record, the achievement that set the Impossible Year in motion
“People keep asking why I’d do this,” Paulson said. “Why sign up for pain on purpose, over and over, for a whole year. But I don’t think of it as pain. I think of it as proof. Proof that the body can do more than we tell ourselves it can, if you train it right and you don’t quit when it gets hard. I’m not asking anyone to run over 1,000 miles. I’m asking them to find their own impossible thing and go after it with me.”
Where to Watch
Episodes and training content are rolling out first on compatible iFIT-enabled treadmills and in the iFIT app. The documentary series will also be available free on iFIT’s YouTube channel.
