This year’s recipients are Dr. Victor Stams, Dr. Sigrid Blome-Eberwein, and Dr. Robert Meislin.

Dr. Stams is a plastic surgeon at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Illinois who is recognized for his leadership in reconstructive surgery using AlloMend® and continues to advance the field through research, mentorship, and collaboration.

Dr. Blome-Eberwein is Associate Director of the Regional Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she uses split-thickness skin allografts to help treat severe burns and other critical conditions.

Dr. Meislin is a hip specialist at NYU Langone Health dedicated to restoring patient mobility and quality of life. His use of AlloSource’s pre-sutured fascia, AceConnex®, reflects his commitment to innovative, patient-centered orthopedic care.

Winners of the Dr. Steven Gitelis Inspiration Award receive a monetary contribution to the charity of their choice from AlloSource. Dr. Stams selected the Boys and Girls Club of Champaign, IL, Dr. Blome-Eberwein selected the REACH Burn Foundation and Dr. Meislin selected the Heschel School.
