ACC Mobilizes Young Conservatives for Forest Management

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) has launched the next phase of Fix Our Forests: Forest Management Now, including billboards in the Salt Lake City area and thousands of petition signatures from young conservatives.

Three billboard placements demonstrate the effect of active forest management in Utah.

The educational initiative, aimed at ACC’s grassroots membership base, educates young conservatives about the importance of active forest management practices through a call-to-action, educational resources, surround-sound marketing, and a new signature plushie. The call-to-action has already received more than 3,000 signatures, with more coming in as the campaign continues through mid-October.

ACC CEO Danielle Franz said, “Our wildfire season is becoming increasingly severe due to decades of fire suppression rather than active management. This campaign demonstrates the benefits of tactics like controlled burns, debris removal, and responsible logging to prevent catastrophic wildfire.”

The billboards, located across Utah’s busiest commuter corridor, depict the ecological benefit of prescribed fires and direct viewers to a landing page, where Utahns can join ACC’s movement and learn more about our work in the state.

To continue the campaign, ACC will host a pop-up shop in downtown Washington, D.C., on Sunday, October 18, with exclusive giveaways including the signature plushie and a limited-edition hat.

The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building the conservative environmental movement.
