Killeen Residents Raise Tax, Budget and Growth Concerns at Town Hall

Waco Temple Bryan, TX, October 15, 2026 —

Killeen residents raised concerns about property taxes, the city budget and future growth opportunities at a town hall meeting hosted by City Councilman Charles “Chuck” Kimble, according to the information provided about the gathering.

The topics included rising property taxes and how the city budget is handled, as well as possibilities connected to data centers and youth activities. The summary does not specify which data center proposals or youth programs were discussed, or what particular questions residents raised about them.

The meeting brought together several issues tied to Killeen’s finances and future development. However, the available account does not identify when or where the town hall took place, how many people attended, or whether city staff or other officials participated. It also does not describe any proposals, commitments or decisions made during the meeting.

Details about the property tax concerns were not provided, including whether residents focused on tax rates, assessments or the effect on household costs. The information likewise does not give figures from the city budget or explain which spending areas were discussed. No specific plans, locations or timelines for data centers or youth activities were included.

Kimble’s role as host is the only named official detail in the account. The information does not include his response to residents’ concerns or indicate whether the issues will be taken up in future council discussions. As a result, the meeting’s documented outcome is limited to the concerns residents raised; no follow-up action was reported.
